It's A Loop Thing Hostess Set

I wanted to use this new Level 3 hostess set and I needed a birthday card for my grandma, so this is what I have been doing this afternoon. I started out using a card sketch from Splitcoaststampers, but it turned out to be a little bit more elaborate than the sketch. Not sure if it still counts then!

Stamps: It's a Loop Thing (Level 3 hostess bundle)
Paper: Bashful Blue cs, Certainly Celery cs, Rose Romance cs, Close to Cocoa cs and Whisper White cs, Hand Drawn DSP (Level 3 hostess bundle)
Ink: Versamark and Close to Cocoa
Accessories: tag punch, small tag punch, Loop to Loop rub ons (Level 3 hostess bundle), Crystal Clear embossing powder and heat tool

Just a tip: if you want to emboss your dye ink pads, first use a Versamark pad and then use the dye ink. This makes the dye ink sticky enough to accept the embossing powder.

Another Sketch Card for SCS

This was my second attempt at this sketch. My first attempt was quite hideous..yes, I can admit that. I did still post it to my splitcoaststampers gallery if you want to check it out. My username is stampsndeidre. Click on the gallery and then do a search by username. If you have never visited this site you really need to. You can find hundreds of card ideas for just about any stamp set that you wish. I could spend hours on there(and sometimes do).

Stamp set: Doodle This
Paper: Certainly Celery card stock, Basic Black card stock and Whisper White card stock
Ink: Black Stazon, Certainly Celery Classic Stampin' pad and Perfect Plum Craft pad
Accessories: Aqua painter and Creative Memories circle cutting system

Crazy for Cupcakes Birthday Card

I have been going back through my scans to see what I have forgotten to post and I came across this card. I made it in October for someone in my downline. The designer series paper is retired, but I liked the kind of old-fashioned candy stripe look that it gave the card.

Stamp sets: Crazy for Cupcakes
Paper: Pretty In Pink card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper (retired hostess) and watercolor paper
Ink: Pretty in Pink Classic Stampin' pad, Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin' pad, More Mustard Classic Stampin' pad, Rose Red Classic Stampin' pad and Black Stazon
Accessories: Aqua painter, scallop border punch, Build a Brad, and 1/2" circle punch

Card Sketch for SCS

I have discovered something wonderful which I am sure most of you have been aware of for quite some time...card sketches! Splitcoaststampers (SCS) has card sketches posted every Wednesday. I think my New Year's Resolution (a little late) will be sure to participate every week. Since moving I haven't had any classes, so I am not creating as much as I used to. This will give me a reason to get creative every week. The only problem is that all of my supplies are in the basement and right now that is a very cold place to be! I may need to invest in another space heater to make it a little more pleasant to be down there. My hands were so cold by the time I finished this that it was very hard to get it taped together!

Stamps: Party Hearty
Paper: Whisper White card stock, Real Red card stock, Old Olive card stock and Summer Picnic Designer Series paper
Ink: Bashful Blue Classic Stampin' pad
Accessories: Real Red, Old Olive and Bashful Blue Stampin' write markers, 1-1/4" circle punch and 1-3/8" circle punch

Target Mailbox

Target has these cute little mailboxes in their dollar section. Our Target had white and silver, but I have heard that they also come in pink and red. I picked up 10 of them! I should go back and see if they have any more but they would probably just sit on a shelf in my craft room for years. I used a retired Designer Series Paper called Wintergreen on this one. I plan on making one for each of the kids in Valentine colors to put their treats in this year.
