Happy Birthday, Teddy!

My daughter attends Toddlin' Time which is a playgroup/craft class. The mascot for Toddlin' Time is Teddy. Teddy had a birthday this Thurs. and my daughter decided that Teddy needed a card for his birthday. She helped pick out the colors and of course she wanted to use the Stampin' Up! Bear on the front. She helped run everything through the Big Shot for me...she was quite a big help!

Limited Supplies Challenge

Friday's limited supply challenge on Splitcoaststampers was to do a card in less than 30 minutes. We can all relate to not having enough time in a day! I liked the challenge because you really can do a pretty card in that amount of time! Sometimes I am guilty of trying to put too much on one card, so this was a good chance to do something a little more basic. By the way, can you tell how in love with the Top Note Bigz die I am? It is exclusive to Stampin' Up!® so let your demo know you need one! If you don't have a demo....I would be happy to help you out!!
Stamp set: Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip Whisper White and Old Olive card stock
Ink: Black StazOn and Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' pad
Accessories: 5-Petal Flower punch, Aqua Painters, dimensionals, uni-ball® Signo gel pen, the negative paper left after I punched a Top Note die
The Chocolate Chip paper is actually behind the Baja Breeze card stock. I used the inner Top Note Piece on the baby thank yous that I showed earlier in the week. I have been keeping these Top Note frames because I am going to use them on scrapbook pages and other cards. I also thought they would make great templates for sponging on a card if I didn't want the bulk of another layer of card stock.

An oldie but goodie

After one of the wives sent homemade fudge to the whole class, Scott came home and asked me what I would be doing. I was thinking nothing...but he really wanted something to take, so I thought these would be easy and fairly inexpensive to make for 20 people. I think the Top Note Die really updates the old baggie topper idea.

Christmas Card....Kind of

This is the card that I wanted to make for Christmas, but I was not able to duplicate the snowflake from the Country Living Holiday Collection. I tried using the Snowflake #2 Sizzix Die but it didn't turn out the same. I really wanted to use chipboard but I found that the Snowflake die is not a good fit for chipboard! After digging many pieces of chipboard out of the snowflake die, I decided to go with good ol' Shimmery White paper. I just got the kids' pictures back from Snapfish, so I will start sending out our cards soon. Once I think everyone has received them I will post the actual card that I sent out this year. I can't totally spoil the surprise can I?
