Ways to Use it Challenge

The Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoaststampers was to use stripes in the design of your card. My cousin, Natasha, has a birthday coming up on the 24th of Feb, so I did this card with her in mind. Since the colors seemed a little masculine I added a lot of bling with 2 types of glitter. I wish Dazzling Diamonds glitter photographed better!

Oh my, 2 posts in one day!

This is my card for the Wed card sketch challenge on SCS. I am catching up! I had to modify the sketch a little because I made a mistake on my saying. I originally had it stamped directly on the paper with the flowering vine but it didn't all come out. Soooo, in order to correct my mistake, I had to stamp it on another layer of white. I decided while I was at it I might as well layer the saying as well.

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers
Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana cs and Darling Dots DSP
Ink: Certainly Celery
Accessories: Barely Banana and Certainly Celery Stampin' Write markers, SAB ribbon bundle, and Shimmer Sparkle Texturz plate

Paige's Valentine shirt

I enjoy making shirts and sweatshirts for the different holidays. I bought a plain pink t-shirt at Wal-Mart and embellished the front with a heart yo-yo and flowers that were inspired by the new Fleurettes that Stampin' Up! is carrying. I have pretty limited crochet skills, but I like they way that they turned out.
If you are interested in making heart shaped yo-yos Penny Sanford has a tutorial that gives wonderful directions.

Yes, I know it isn't Christmas

I got this idea for a Christmas ornament when I attended the SU! Regional in Overland Park. One of the presenters had used her old Diet Coke cans to make a Christmas ornament. You just need the Big Shot and the Circle 3d Ornament die. I used Sticky Strip to hold it together. I used plain ol' scissors to cut the can apart after I pierced it with a craft knife. I would recommend eye protection and gloves when attempting this project.

I was avoiding scraping more wallpaper this afternoon and retreated to my craft room for a few minutes to make this. Paige actually took a nap so that I had a few minutes to myself. I really should have been doing the 50 other projects that need attention, but when you need to craft, you need to craft!

Eastern Blooms card

I am quickly trying to get something posted before the kids head to bed. Unfortunately our computer is in Clay's room and I don't think he would appreciate me clicking away on the computer keys while he tries to get to sleep! This card was another sketch from Splitcoaststampers. I will go back and try to get the exact number when I have a little more time!

Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Baha Breeze and Pacific Point card stock
Ink: Old Olive, Baha Breeze and Pacific Point Classic Stampin' pad

A Funky Card

This card happened because I was attempting to straighten the area that I use my Big Shot in. Notice that I said attempting! I was grouping leftover punches and trying to decide how to organize ones that didn't get used on a project, but that may come in handy on another. I picked up this piece of Real Red card stock and for some reason the open circles said ladybug to me.
Stamp sets: Darling Dots(hostess) and Seeing Spots
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black and Real Red card stock
Ink: Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad
Accessories: Real Red Stampin' Write marker, Pretties Kit, Button Latte, Black grosgrain ribbon
